HireHop Integration Overview with PATGuard Cloud

When enabled, the PATGuard Cloud HireHop integration enables asset testing information to be sent to HireHop automatically.

Pre-requisites

  1. In HireHop, your subscription must be a paid tier and not the freemium tier. This is mainly due to the Testing module being restricted in the freemium tier.
  2. A Barcode in HireHop is called an Asset ID in PATGuard Cloud - these two aligning will result in test data being sent
    1. HireHop does have an ability for stock to not be serialised (E.g. no barcode) - these are not â€‹covered by the integration

Integration Setup

The first step in enabling the integration is to retrieve your integration key from HireHop:
  1. Log into HireHop as you do normally

  2. Go to the Settings page (e.g. https://myhirehop.com/settings.php)

  3. Click your Profile Name to enable Administrator mode and confirm Yes


  4. Select the Company Settings tab


  5. Scroll down to Export key and click the Integration key button


  6. On the dialog, press the Copy button (or copy the key in the box at the top)


  7. In the PATGuard Cloud settings screen, select the HireHop tab

  8. Paste the HireHop Integration Key into the Integration Key box


  9. Press Save. This will do two things: 1) it will check that the key is valid according to HireHop and 2) retrieve a list of active HireHop users

  10. If your account has one user (like our sample account), PATGuard Cloud will just select that user for the integration. If your account has multiple users, you will need to choose one and press Save.



  11. Once the Integration Key is validated and a user is selected, the Status will indicate Ready

HireHop Stock Module

In the Stock module, for each stock that requires Test and tagging, make sure to select an interval:


Once the interval is selected, any assets of that stock will then appear in the Testing module. When PATGuard Cloud looks for matching assets, HireHop will only offer up those with an interval.

HireHop Testing/Maintenance Module

In HireHop, the Testing module allows managing the tests of stock which have the PAT Testing requirement enabled. https://myhirehop.com/modules/maintenance/
In this screenshot you can see the status of assets up until the selected Due Date:


In PATGuard Cloud, if a test is added to Asset ID 7 (e.g. Barcode 7) it will then send that information to HireHop:

(Note: tests can be created in any of the usual ways such as importing files from devices, PATGuard Cloud Connect, flat files, manual entry etc)

The sync page then displays the recently sent test to HireHop (once the background tasks have synchronised the data - it runs minutely):


Now that the item is tested, we need to change the Due date filter on the HireHop testing page to see the item's next Due date. The screenshot shows the new Due date and the date of the previous test.


Troubleshooting

  1. If the integration fails over time (perhaps the integration key has changed, or the subscription, or the selected user becomes in-active) it will disable and require setting up again in PATGuard Cloud settings
  2. The HireHop Sync page which shows recently sent data is available in the More Menu
