How do I use an activation card to sign up for a subscription with PATGuard Cloud?

What is an activation card?

Activation Cards are sold by selected Seaward distributors and contain credit for PATGuard Cloud Annual Subscriptions. Each Activation Card enables a customer to:
  1. subscribe directly to a new annual PATGuard subscription (Basic, Standard or Business)
  2. go from a trial plan to an annual subscription (Basic, Standard or Business)
  3. use an activation card to enable one or multiple users on an annual subscription type (Basic, Standard or Business).
If you have an existing subscription, and are interested in using activation cards to upgrade, add users, renew or extend it, please contact support.

Where do I buy an activation card and what do I buy?

Activation cards can be purchased from selected Seaward distributors.

When purchasing activation codes you can purchase either of the following combinations:
  1. One basic, standard or business subscription activation card,
  2. Purchase multiple activation cards of the same subscription type - which enables multiple users for the selected subscription type (e.g 2 basic subscription activation cards will give you 2 users on a basic annual plan)

How do I use an activation card to subscribe directly to a new annual subscription?

On the PATGuard Cloud website go to the 'pricing & plans' menu


Ensure you have selected the correct region for your purchase - AU or UK and then click on "Have an activation card? Click here to sign up"


Enter your email address and press "Send verification code".


Check your email and spam folder for an email that contains the verification code



Enter your verification code into the browser and press "proceed"



Enter your details into the form and press "proceed"



You will now be prompted to enter an activation code or multiple codes. Each activation code needs to be for the same subscription type.

An activation code will create a subscription for an annual subscription (basic, standard or business) and if you enter multiple activation codes you can add multiple users (e.g 2 Business Activation Codes = 2 users on a Business Subscription). 

Enter one or more activation codes and press "submit". Multiple activation codes must be for the same subscription type (e.g. 2 x Basic Annual Subscription Activation Codes).



A screen will appear asking you to "click proceed to sign up for", check the subscription details and press "proceed" to continue

You should be redirected to a screen requesting you to check your email inbox to activate your login details.



Look for the email and press "get started" to set a password for your account



You will now be redirected to a website to select and confirm a password. Type in your password, confirm it and press save.

You should now be logged in to your PATGuard Cloud account!

How do I use an activation card to go from a trial to an annual subscription?

On the PATGuard Cloud website click on "Free Trial"

Enter your email address and click "send verification code" to begin the free trial 


Check your email and spam folder for the verification code


Enter the verification code and press "proceed"



Enter your details into the form and press "Start my free trial"



You should be redirected to a screen requesting you to check your email inbox to activate your login details.



Look for the email and press "start my trial" to set a password for your account



You will now be redirected to a website to select and confirm a password. Type in your password, confirm it and press save.

You should now be logged in to your PATGuard Cloud account!

To upgrade your subscription using an activation card, click on 'Subscribe Now'


Then click on "have an activation card - click here to use it"


Enter one or more activation codes of the same subscription type and press "submit"


Check the plan type is correct and then press "proceed"


Click on subscription info to check that your plan type is correct and then start using the app!
