Short codes save time when entering information while PAT testing. It enables a code of characters to be set which can represent regularly typed text. There is no limit to the number of short codes that can be set.
Short Code Abbreviations are used to help save you time typing long and repetitive site names, location names and asset descriptions on the test instrument. They cannot be used for make, model or serial numbers. You can create your own Short Code Abbreviations in PATGuard Cloud by:
Go to the menu "More" and "Short codes"
Select either "Asset" or "Site/Location" and click "+Add"
From here type your "Code:" and the "Description", as per the example below. Then press "save". Please note that the short code must be the exact, complete text typed for a site name, location name and/or asset description. And that no extra prefix is needed.
